History

L’Iliade has been designed by the well-known French architect F. Camatte and built by the Chantier de Normandie, Fécamp, France, in 1935. Her lines plan are very similar to that from yachts designed in the same era by the famous designers like William Fife, Camper & Nicholsons and Sparkman & Stephans.

She has sailed extensively around the British and French Coast, the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, with at least 10 Atlantic crossings to her credit. With an upwind sail area of 260 m2, and 450 m2 down wind she is a fast and comfortable yacht to cruise. She has competed in many of the Mediterranean Regattas with some overall winnings.

In 1999, L'Iliade was redesigned to outfit her for diving as a -liveaboard- sailing yacht. Her oak hull, her teak deck, her teak superstructure, the interior and her wooden masts haven been completely refitted in 2006. While retaining all her classic female charms, L'Iliade is equipped with all dive equipment to give you the best of both worlds! ! Sailing and Diving !
