History

John Alden designed Lucia in 1940 and she was built and launched by George Lawley & sons the same year as Irondequiot II.. She was based in Marblehead north of Boston, for many years before moving to the Great Lakes.

In the 90’s she was raced and chartered in the Caribbean, before falling into disrepair in Florida. In 1998 she was bought and restored in Florida by her present owner George Embiricos, and after a couple of seasons in the Caribbean, she is now based in Cannes, and racing in the Classic circuit.
